Eligibility
The following persons shall be eligible for appearing in the TET:
- A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualification specified in the NCTE notification dated 23rd August 2010.
- A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses(recognized by NCTE)
- The eligibility condition for appearing in TET may be relaxed in respect of a State which has been granted relaxation under sub-section(2) of 23 of the RTE Act.THE Relaxation will be specified in the Notification issued by Central Government under that sub-section.
Structure and content of TET
These test are categories into two sets:-
1.Paper 1st for J.B.T(junior based teacher)
2. Paper 2nd for B.Ed(vi to viii level)
For Paper Ist,the questions are divided into five parts.
- Child psychology(30 questions)
- Maths(30 questions)
- Environmental science(30 questions)
- Option 1 language (30 questions)
- Option 2 language(30 questions)
Total=150 questions.Each carry one mark.
For Clarify the test 90 marks is require
For Paper 2nd,the questions are divided into five parts.
- Child psychology(30 questions)
- subject choose 1(30 questions)
- subject choose 2(30 questions)
- Option 1 language (30 questions)
- Option 2 language(30 questions)
Total=150 questions.Each carry one mark.
For Clarify the test 90 marks is require
Note:-No negative marking in this test.
