Test Criteria For TET,STET Exams

This article is about test criteria for CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test) and STET(State Teacher Eligibility Test) Exams.Now Government has decided to equate the test criteria of both these tests and named it TET.
General Criteria
  1. Eligibility

  2. Structure and contents of TET

Eligibility
The following persons shall be eligible for appearing in the TET:
  1. A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualification specified in the NCTE notification dated 23rd August 2010.

  2. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses(recognized by NCTE)

  3. The eligibility condition for appearing in TET may be relaxed in respect of a State which has been granted relaxation under sub-section(2) of 23 of the RTE Act.THE Relaxation will be specified in the Notification issued by Central Government under that sub-section.

Structure and content of TET
These test are categories into two sets:-
1.Paper 1st for J.B.T(junior based teacher)
2. Paper 2nd for B.Ed(vi to viii level)

For Paper Ist,the questions are divided into five parts.
  1. Child psychology(30 questions)

  2. Maths(30 questions)

  3. Environmental science(30 questions)

  4. Option 1 language (30 questions)

  5. Option 2 language(30 questions)

Total=150 questions.Each carry one mark.
For Clarify the test 90 marks is require

For Paper 2nd,the questions are divided into five parts.
  1. Child psychology(30 questions)

  2. subject choose 1(30 questions)

  3. subject choose 2(30 questions)

  4. Option 1 language (30 questions)

  5. Option 2 language(30 questions)

Total=150 questions.Each carry one mark.
For Clarify the test 90 marks is require
Note:-No negative marking in this test.
